Drive formatting

Formatting a drive partition involves loss of data stored on the partition. Therefore, before you format the existing partition, you need to have a back up of data you required as it deletes whole data of drive partition.


Format your drive using disk management


Here are steps to get your drive formatted in Windows:
  1. Right-click on a partition.
  2. Tap "Format" .
  3. Follow the formatting wizard to set the file system and volume label.
